More than 70 scientific proposals from companies and research centres position the I SENTIATECH Congress as a European benchmark in the detection of emerging risks

  • The I SENTIATECH Congress will be held on 21-22 October 2025 and will be a key European meeting point for industry, the scientific community and public administration in the fight against emerging risks and innovation in detection technologies with an impact on health and the environment.

  • The congress is supported by leading entities in these fields such as Valencia Innovation Capital, AGQ Labs, Aqualia, EBS 2025, Eurofins, Global Omnium, I3S 2025, IRISS SSbD network, ITENE, Kunak Technologies, Labaqua, Laboratorios Tecnológicos de Levante, NSC Community, RSEQ, Simetría Group and Unimat Prevención

The SENTIATECH Technology Platform has announced the extension of the deadline for submitting abstracts for the I SENTIATECH Congress: Detection, Measurement and Control of Emerging Risks, the European congress to be held on 21 and 22 October 2025 at the Las Naves and La Harinera complex in Valencia, Spain. The new deadline will remain open until 13 July 2025, in response to the request of numerous professionals who, due to other commitments and complex dates in the calendar, have asked for a few extra weeks to submit their proposals.

With more than 70 scientific proposals, the organisers emphasise that this extension will allow the incorporation of new high-quality contributions that will enrich the congress programme, without affecting the planned schedule. In fact, the Scientific Committee will begin this week to review the abstracts received to date, and their authors will receive a response on the status of their proposal as soon as possible.

The I SENTIATECH Congress aims to become a key event in Europe to address the challenges posed by emerging risks related to human health and the environment. In its first edition, the organisation expects more than 80 speakers and the participation of more than 150 professionals from public entities, companies, universities and research centres.

With a multidisciplinary approach, this scientific congress will bring together international experts from the academic, industrial and regulatory fields to discuss three strategic axes: the monitoring and control of emerging pollutants such as PFAS or microplastics; innovation in detection and sensor technologies applied to food safety and the agri-food sector; and the safe and sustainable design of chemicals and materials within the framework of the European Safe and Sustainable by Design (SSbD) approach.

The event has the institutional backing of Valencia Innovation Capital, as well as the support of leading companies and entities in their fields such as AGQ Labs, Aqualia, 5th European Biosensor Symposium (EBS 2025), Eurofins, Global Omnium, 11th International Symposium on Sensor Science (I3S 2025), IRISS SSbD network, ITENE Research Centre, Kunak Technologies, Labaqua, Laboratorios Tecnológicos de Levante, NSC Community, Royal Spanish Society of Chemistry (RSEQ), Simetría Group, and Unimat Prevención.

To guarantee the scientific excellence of the congress, the proposals will be evaluated by an international Scientific Committee composed of representatives from entities such as: ITENE Research Centre, Duke University, Institute of Agrochemistry and Food Technology (IATA-CSIC), Inter-University Institute of Molecular Recognition Research and Technological Development (IDM-UPV), , Institute of Occupational Medicine (IOM), Institute of Advanced Chemistry of Catalonia (IQAC-CSIC), Institute of Natural Resources and Agrobiology of Seville (IRNAS-CSIC), Institute of Science, Technology and Sustainability for Ceramics, National Research Council of Italy (ISSMC-CNR), Institute of Chemical Technology (ITQ-UPV), International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory (INL), QSAR Lab, TNO, Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), University of Oviedo (UniOvi) and University of Gdańsk.

In addition to the presentations, the congress will include spaces for networking, technology transfer and strategic debate, with the aim of fostering new alliances between R&D agents, industry and public administration. The ultimate goal is to accelerate the development of innovative solutions to anticipate and respond to current challenges in public health, sustainability and chemical and biological risk management.

More information about the event and the abstract submission process can be found on the official congress website.
