The company that gave rise to the Global Omnium Group, Aguas de Valencia, began its journey in 1890 with the aim of supplying the city of Valencia (EMIVASA) and its metropolitan area. It gradually expanded to include municipalities in the provinces of Valencia, Castellón and Alicante (EGEVASA, Global Omnium Medioambiente, SL, Empresa de Aguas y Servicios Públicos de Morella, Aguas de Calpe, Aigües d’Altea). It soon expanded its reach to other autonomous communities, where it also manages services related to the Integral Water Cycle (Aguas de Teruel, SASTESA, Companyia General d’Aigües de Catalunya, Aigües de Tortosa, Aigües d’Altafulla).

With over 135 years of experience, hard work and innovation, the Global Omnium Group is present in all of Spain’s autonomous communities and has international contracts in the USA, Latin America, Africa and the Middle East. It currently manages 28 drinking water treatment plants, supplying more than 400 cities and over 5 million people, as well as 308 wastewater treatment facilities, 25 septic tanks, 155 external pumping stations and 2 sludge facilities.

The Global Omnium Group has an increasingly consolidated presence in different areas, such as water quality management through laboratories, the implementation of customer service management systems and the installation, maintenance and implementation of smart meters (Global Omnium Servicios SL); other maintenance services (SAMAS); and hydraulic works and comprehensive maintenance of hydraulic infrastructures (CCSA).
